“To really be a nerd, she’d decided, you had to prefer fictional worlds to the real one.” –Fangirl, Rainbow Rowell

Favorite Genres: Young Adult and Fantasy. I love anything with a strong fearless female heroine! (A little romance on the side is never a bad thing either!)

Hey everyone!

My name is Lexi and I’ve been reading ever since I can remember. I’ve always had a book in my hand. If you ask my mom she’ll tell you she used to tell me to slow down and turn on the television, she was spending too much money on books. It’s now a running joke in our family.

Anything fictional that has a strong central character is my kind of book. My favorite is a strong female character who can hold her own. I don’t like a princess in distress, I like a girl who can handle herself and prove that she too can play with the boys.

I was probably fifteen when I decided to try my hand at writing. At that time I didn’t know what fan fiction was, but that’s probably how I started. I would take my favorite stories and “rewrite” them if you will. I made my own characters, my own problems, but they were set inside the world of a story I was in love with. So I guess I was a fangirl before it was cool?

I’m a fangirl at heart, I love characters far too deeply. I get attached to fictional friends, but after all isn’t that what we’re supposed to do when reading?

I’m honored to be a guest reviewer on A New Look On Books and share my favorite stories with you all. If I can offer one person the love of my favorite stories, than I consider that a success.

“And so the lion fell in love with the lamb” –Stephenie Meyer

Favorite Genres: Contemporary, Fantasy, New Adult, Romance, Science Fiction, Young Adult

Hi everyone! *waves*

My name is Stephanie and I am an avid reader. I first started getting into reading after a friend introduced me to Twilight. Before that point in my life, I hated reading. I thought it was boring and a waste of my time *shutters*. When my friend first told me about Twilight, I remember saying to her “Who would want to read that?”. However, as more and more people raved about the book, I decided I wanted to join in on this new phenomenon. Unbeknownst to me, Twilight would impact my life more than I could ever imagine. When I first picked up the book, I couldn’t stop. I stayed up all night just to finish it. When I finished, it left me eager for more. More of Twilight and more of other fictional worlds. And thus, the person I am today was born.

Since the days of Twilight, I have ventured into other amazing stories and worlds, like Idris and St. Vladimir’s Academy. I have felt the adrenaline pumping through my body during the heat of battle, the feeling of victory when the enemy is defeated, and grieved for the death of a loved one. I have also fallen in love with numerous characters (Edward will always have my heart though). The point of all of this is that reading is an amazing journey that opened my eyes to a variety of new possibilities. And I want to help others experience the vast amount of journeys that reading has to offer. Either through my constant fangirling (and I mean constant) or through being a guest reviewer here at A New Look On Books, my goal is to help others discover the joy of reading.
Even if reading is not your thing, give reading a chance. It might just take you by surprise!

Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life’s coming attractions.” — Albert Einstein

Preferred genres: Anything but horror.

Hello everyone,

My pen name is Adriana Fox and I am a guest reviewer here on A New Look on Books. I have been reading and writing ever since I was young. Even, now it is still one of my favorite activities. I read all genres except for horror, only due to the fact I can easily picture the horror scenes in my head, and it is usually too much for me to stomach.

I am honored to be a guest reviewer and share my favorite books with the world.

I hope that fellow readers will be able to connect on that special level where you feel as though you are a part of the book your own self!
